General Nursing and Midwifery is a three-year undergraduate course, General Nursing Midwifery deals with the care of individuals, families, and communities so as to promote, restore, and maintain their health and well-being. The course is designed to prepare the student for a career in nursing. GNM or General Nursing and Midwifery is a three-year undergraduate course that trains an individual in taking care of patients, families and communities for their health promotion and also deals with the restoration of ill health. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it covers all the aspects of nursing care. The General Nursing and Midwifery course is approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC). After the completion of this course, one can take up a career in nursing.
The General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M.) course is of a three-year (3) duration.
Should have passed Class 12 with English and must have secured a minimum of 40 percent in aggregate in the qualifying examination and English separately from any recognized board. Candidates from State Open Schools recognised by the State Government and the National Institute of Open Schools (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government are also eligible.
